Two Found Dead
W.Z. Press Association) KAIKOHE, Oct. 12. A man and his wife, both in their late 50s, were found shot dead in a Taheke house, 10 miles west of Kaikohe, soon after 12.45 a.m. today. They were Haki Mohi (Jack) Henry, aged 59 and Mrs Rang! Henry, aged 55, of Auckland, who were staying with their son, Edward Henry. Mr Edward Henry was awakened from sleep by the noise of two rifle shots and on investigation found his mother dead in bed in another room, and his father dead alongside the bed. A police squad took possession of a .22 calibre rifle found lying beside the man’s body. They said there were no suspicious circumstances.
