Dockers ' Not On Strike’
(N Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Oct 10. Dockers at the Port of London were not on strike, as many New Zealanders apparently believed, Mr W. Bowey, assistant director-general of the Port of London Authority, said In Wellington today. “The stop-work reports which appear to have created this misunderstanding relate to one berth only,” he said. “This is the berth specially constructed for the Australian container trade. Other container services are in constant operation.’’
