Bishop Finds Cross

The former Bishop of Christchurch (the Rt Rev. A. K. Warren) has found the pectoral cross he lost last Thursday. The cross, made of gold and greenstone from diggings in South Westland, was a gift to him 18 years ago from Christchurch Rotarians to mark his elevation to Bishop of the diocese. He was president of Rotary at the time. Bishop Warren said that the cross slipped from the ring by which he attached it to his clothes.

The Bishop found the cross in the drive of his home.
