Fishing Boat Surveys

(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. August 26. The compulsory survey of fishing boats will be extended to boats of 35 feet from April 1, 1970, according to the annual report of the Marine Department, tabled in Parliament today.

The report said compulsory surveys of fishing boats of 40ft and longer had now been in force since October, 1965. The requirement was extended to 37ft 6in boats last April 1.
