Minister Discovers Fire In Church Hall

PALMERSTON NORTH, August 26. Quick action by a Feilding church minister saved a church hail from fire today.

The Rev. S. Robertson noticed a window open in the St Paul’s Presbyterian church hall,- which is next to his home. He fpupd that a heater had been turned-towards a wall and switched on. The hall was full of smoke. The wall, next to the two-bar heater was badly charped, and the paint was smouldering. ,! Mr Robertson switched off the heater, and called help.
