WORKERS TO MEET

A stop-work meeting involving about 70 workers employed by Lane, Walker, Rudkin, Ltd, would be held this afternoon, toe secretary of the firm’s branch of the Canterbury Woollen Workers’ Union (Mr J. Stuthridge) said last evening. Workers from three department* were involved. “The meeting has been called to discuss recent substantial bonus cuts and the employment of non-union labour as so-called foremen,” he sad. The meeting was expected to last an hour.
