Swimming-Pool Discharges

The Christchurch Drainage Board has accepted responsibility for the control of discharges from swimming pools.

The North Canterbury Catchment Board said in a letter received last evening by toe Drainage Board that it was conscious of the need for effective control over the discharge of chlorinated swimming pool water into rivers and streams. It would appreciate toe board accepting control.
