U.S. Bombing Continues

(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copgright) SAIGON, Aug. 25. American Stratofortress bombers again dropped hundreds of tons of bombs on North Vietnamese targets close to the Cambodian border, north of Saigon, yesterday and early today. Other strikes were made on troop movements, camps and staging areas in the Mekong Delta. In two battles north-west of Saigon yesterday, 76 guerrillas were killed. Meanwhile, another 1976 American servicemen left Vietnam today, bringing to 21,000 the number withdrawn so far under President Nixon’s plan to pull out 25,000 troops by the end of this month. However, an intensification of the fighting in the last two weeks has delayed the expected announcement of further withdrawals.
