PROVINCIAL BUILDING
Demolition Started (N.Z. Press Association) NELSON, August 21. Preliminary demolition work started on the 110-year-old Nelson provincial building today. The contractor is stripping the roofing slates in preparation for major work, expected to start on Monday. The building will be opened to the public tomorrow and during the week-end. Local and national efforts to preserve the wooden building delayed Its demolition from early this year. It is in a bad state of repair.
