(N.Z. Press Association) WANGANUI. Wanganui ended a series of seven consecutive losses with a flattering, 17-9, victory over Bush in a representative Rugby match at Spriggens Park yesterday. Wanganui recovered from a 6-9 deficit R. Barrell scored 11 points, from three penalty goals and a conversion, for Wanganui, to add to the try scored by A. Gordon and the dropped goal by B. McKinnon. Bush’s points came from a try by M. Barnes, a dropped goal by R. Mills, playing his hundredth game for the team, and a penalty goal by P. Goldsworthy.
