St Patrick’s had goot backs but gained so little po session that it was unable to us« them, and most of its play wa« spent containing driving foi ward rushes and fielding high tactical kicks. D. Direen scored a try for St Bede’s and C. Dixon kicked tu< penalties, but the St Bede's team w r as unlucky not to score two more tries.
New Trophy.— Lady Cln Chester,. wife of Sir Franci Chichester, the round-the-worh solo yachtsman, will donate . trophy for the Trans-Tasmai yacht race from New Plymouth to Brisbane in April next year It will be called the Sir Franci Chichester Trophy.
