Canadians Recover
(N.Z. Press Association) OAMARU. Trailing 0-1 until well into the first half, the Hawkes (Vancouver) hockey team came to light in the closing stages to beat North Otago, 3-1, yesterday. A. Brown scored for North Otago, and A. Hobkirk (2) and J. Mcßryde for the visitors. The Canterbury representative team to play the Canadians at Williamson Park on Sunday, August 17, was announced yesterday. It is: R. McHarg, P. Clark, J. Bate, A. Ineson, K. Thomson, I. Bishop, B. Aldridge, J. Christensen, B. Maiste'r, J. Boren, W. Thomson. Reserves: S. Crarifleld, T. Wall, R. Mcllroy.
S. Maister was unavailable because of injury.
