VOLLEYBALL
Top Club In Poor Form Although the competition leader, University B, produced a low standard of play, it was able to beat Bryndwr, 13-7. 17- 20-7, 14-17, in their interclub volleyball match. Bryndwr’s attack was not strong enough to be a threat. University’s game was marred by bad setting-up and misunderstandings, but the team’s three spikets and good serving made it a fairly decisive win. Excelling, as usual, in , its cover play. Teachers’ College defeated University C. 12-6, 13- 12-14, 10-10, in the other A grade match. The blocking of Teachers was also good, white University had a slight advantage in spiking. Both teams, especially University, were easily flustered into making mistakes, and low scores in all games were consequent on the long rallies. Teachers’ more consistent play gave them a narrow victory.
