Winning Team Retained

(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. The New Zealand badminton team which beat Australia, 8-1, in the first round of the Thomas Cup series, has been retained for the second round against Singapore at Christchurch on September 12 and 13. The team was announced by the national selectors yesterday. Included is M. Stossell (Wellington), who was the non-travelling reserve tor the tie against Australia. The players are: W. Johns (Auckland), R. Purser, B. Purser (Taranaki), J. Compton, D. Higgins and Stossell (Wellington).
