Victim Ignored
A young man who lay seriously injured on a busy Sydney road yesterday, igr.ored by passing motorists, was in an improved condition i n hospital this morning. The police say that Mr William Howley, aged 22, apparently full from his motor-cycle, r,r was knocked over by a vehicle, during the rush-hour yesterday morning on one of the main highways les .ding into the city. For at lenst 10 minutes Mr Bowley lay unconscious on the re ad with a fractured skull, while heavy traffic formed a single line to edge past hin i. Two taxidrivers finally s'topped to help, parking their cars on either side of him i.o protect him from passing cars.—Sydney, August 6.
