Green Beret Men Charge (N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) SAIGON, August 6. The former commanding officer of all the American Special Forces troops in Vietnam and seven other former Green Beret men have been charged with the premeditated murder of a Vietnamese man, the United States Army announced today. Colonel Robert Rheault, of Massachusetts, formerly commanding officer of the sth Special Fbrces Group (Airborne), six other officers and a sergeant are being held in confinement and under guard at Long Binh, 12 miles northeast of Saigon. In addition to the premeditated murder charge, the Green Berets also are charged with conspiracy to commit murder.
