Red Cross Officers

Tribute was paid to the work of two executive members of the North Canterbury Red Cross Centre when they retired at the annual meeting. They are Mrs T. C. Mating, a vice-president and a member of the executive tor 13 years, and Mrs C. H. Bethell, who has been on the executive for eight years.

Officers elected:—patroness, Miss M. C. Bain; president, Mrs J. B. Hay; vice-presi-dents, Monsignor G. V. Daly, Mrs D. J. Wales, and Mrs A. H. Weir, chairman, Mr A. B. Duncan; treasurer, Mr D. A. Buchanan; centre executive, Messrs E. W. Archbold, J. G. Cameron, W. A. Hearn, and K. Readman, Mesdames R. S. Allan, J. H. Clarke, G. P. Dampier-Crossley, E. Falck, C. R. Hosking, L. F. Jepson, N. L. McConnel, and J. MeLaughlan.
