Lyttelton Not To Join

Costs incurred in joining the Christchurch Regional Planning Authority would be too high for the benefits received, the Lyttelton Borough Council decided, declining an invitation from the authority to join it. However Cr E. C. Camfield said that although the price was high and Lyttelton would get very little it would be worth while to have representation on the authority. Membership of the authority would be little use as Lyttelton was almost completely developed and the cost would be more than $6OO, said Cr R. H. Duff.
