YOUNG READERS
Children of any age over six, and their parents, will enjoy ASTERIX THE GAUL, by Gosdnny and Uderzo (Brockhampton Press, 48 pp). Similar in format to the popular “Tin Tin” books, but considerably more colourful and grotesque in style, this book tells of a little Gaulish village whose inhabitants heroically resist ths invaders. Their heroism to greatly enhanced by a magic Ki brewed by a local which confers invincible strength and comes in a choice of flavours. The reviewer's children and the reviewer all want more Asterix books.
