Coup Foiled In Dahomey
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) COTONOU (Dahomey), July 24. The Dahomey Government had foiled an attempted coup and arrested plotters who planned to abduct the Armed Forces Chief of Staff and the President, it was officially announced.
A statement issued by the ruling party, the Union for a New Dahomey, said that President Emile DerlinZinsou had told the party! bureau that two conspirators,; a garage-owner and a lieutenant, had been caught just' as they were about to carry out their plan on the night of July 12.
