Lamb Cheaper In London (N.Z. Press Association! WELLINGTON, July 25. Warm, humid weather caused a slow trade for all commodities on Smithfield Market, London, this week, the Meat Board says. Moderate supplies of New Zealand lamb sold slowly with some easing in prices. Quotations for the main grade (prime 29/361b) were 31jd to 32d (28.2 c or id lower than last week.
Limited supplies of New Zealand mutton cleared slowly at largely unchanged prices. The main grade of hogget (49/S6lb) was quoted at 20d to 22d, and wether was 19d to 20d. Ewe mutton was quoted at 17 id to 18d. Lamb quotations were:—
