Host Farms

The No. 9 Transport Licensing Authority (Mr J. M. Dwyer) yesterday granted Brian William Page a continuous passenger-service licence to carry tourists between his property, Mount Lawry, and Christchurch. The authority also authorised the applicant to carry tourists on shooting, fishing and' scenic trips from Mount Lawry t» vther parts of the licensing district when they stayed at the property as his guests. The authority Was told that Mr Page’s property was one of four host farms which had been opened in the South Island. The others were at Pleasant. Point, Methven and Ohiu Downs.
