JUDGES ILL

(N.Z. Prtss Atsoeiatlon) WELLINGTON, July 22. Four of the 13 Supreme Court judges have been affected by illness. The senior puisne judge, Sir George McGregor, retired a week ago because of ill health. The vacancy left by his departure has not been ailed. Two Auckland judges, Mr Justice Hardie Boys and Mr Justice Perry, both became ill in April and have not yet returned to the bench. Both are on prolonged leave of absence on medical advice and both have gone overseas. Last week another Auckland judge, Mr Justice Woodhouse, suffered a mild heart attack. He is expected to be away for six weeks.
