NEW FERRY BERTH

Agreement On Site (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, July 9. A new Wellington ferry berth for the third road-rail Cook Strait ferry is to be built on the western side of the dock wharf. The chairman of the Wellington Harbour Board (Mr E. M. Hodder) said today that discussions had been held with the Railways Department and a broad agreement in principle had been reached. “It is hoped that plans will be sufficiently advanced .to be placed before the next meeting of the board,” he said.
