Parliament’s Diary
The annual report of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research was tabled in Parliament yesterday. Members gave notice of initiating six motions for debate. Ministers replied to eight questions. The Christchurch District Drainage Amendment Bill was put through its committee stages. Two other local bills—the Manukau City Empowering (Rates Remission) Bill and the Manukau City Empowering (Farm Land Rating) Bill—were given a second reading.
The Budget debate was resumed.
