Oyster Writ Delayed

(N.Z. Press Association) ■ WELLINGTON, July 10. A shortage of judges In the Supreme Court is delaying the hearing of a writ seeking an injunction against the Government’s closing of the oyster season. Counsel for the Seamen's Union today sought a fixture for the hearing of the writ, but because the two judges available for the Supreme Court are both engaged in jury trials next week, the hearing cannot be arranged before the week beginning July 21. Depending on what is before the court, the hearing may not be held until the succeeding week. The oyster season normally closes on August 31, but this year it was closed by the Government on May 20,
