ASHBURTON COUNTY COUNCIL NOTICE is hereby given that the Ashburton County Council has received a requirement from the Minister of works that provision be made in the District | Scheme for the following public works: (1) That a strip of land as described in Schedule A hereunder be designated for proposed road widening. (2) That a atrip of land as described in Schedule B hereunder be also designated as a proposed limited access road. SCHEDULE A <D All those strips of land 50 links in width on the north-west side of State Highway No. 1 and adjoining Town Sections 130, 131 and 211 Reserve 1662 Reserve 4917 and Lot 1 D.P. 22752 coloured orange on T.P. 8000. <2) AU that strip of land 25 links in width on the north-west side of State Highway No. 1 and adjoining Town Section 210 coloured orange on T.P. 8000. <3) All that strip of land vary, ing in width from 50 links to xero on the north-west side of State Highway No. 1, commencing at a point opposite the north-east boundary of Rakaia Terrace and extending in a south-westerly direction for a distance of approximately six chains. This strip adjoins Railway Land and is coloured orange on T.P. 8000. (4) All that strip of land varying in width from 30 links (approximately) to zero on the south-east side of State Highway No. 1 adjoining Town Section 616 and coloured orange on T.P. 8000. SCHEDULE B (1) All that strip of Railway land approximately 50 links in width on the north-west side of State Highway No. 1, and extending from a point opposite the north-east boundary of Rakaia Terrace to the Rakaia River. This land is coloured red on T.P. 8000. (2) All that strip of land varying in width from four chains to zero on the north-west cide of State Highway No. 1 and extending in a south-westerly direction from Alford Forest Road for a distance of approximately 40 chains. This strip of land adjoins Part Lot 2 D.P. 1040 and is coloured red on T.P. 8000.
The pieces of land affected are shown on Plan T.P. 8000 which u available for public inspection at the office of the Council during normal office hours.
