NOT GUILTY VERDICT

(N.Z. Press Assdciation) AUCKLAND. July 8. A jury in the Supreme Court at Auckland today found Robert Lawrence Kerr, a salesman, not guilty of attempted false pretences. ’ He was discharged by Mr Justice Henry. Kerr had pleaded not guilty to a charge that on or about May 12, 1969, he attempted to obtain $940 from the A.M.P. Insurance Company, N.Z., Ltd, by falsely representing that a burglary had been committed at his address on May 10, 1969, and that property valued at $940 had been stolen. Mr H. M. Romanuik appeared for Kerr and Mr E. R. Winkel for the Crown.
