LOSING FEES
Payments To Trainers (N.Z. Press Association) ROTORUA. The New Zealand Trotting Conference yesterday altered its rules to aUow trainers who drive losing horses to receive a fee. Previously the rules have not required trainers to receive a losing driving fee, though it was revealed to the conference’s annual meeting in Rotorua that most have been doing so. DIRECTED The Central Otago Trotting Club, which normally holds its one-day meeting at Omakau, has been directed by the executive of the conference to hold future meetings at Roxburgh. The club, which applied for March 28 in the 1969-70 programme, was allocated January 3. The New Zealand Trotting Conference will hold its annual meeting in Wellington next year.
