The bodies of Peter Barnes and James Mac Cormack, murderers to the English but patriots to the Irish, were buried ceremoniously side by side in the corner of a small country cemetery in Mullingar, in the Irish Republic, yesterday. The two Irish Republican Army officers were hanged in 1940, having been convicted of murder after a bomb explosion in Coventry that killed five persons and injured 100. —Mullingar, July 7.
