ACCEPTORS FOR DOOMBEN
(N.Z.P.A. Staff Correspondent) BRISBANE. A capacity field of 25, including four reserves, accepted yesterday for the Doomben Ten Thousand (7 furlongs less 88 yards), to be run at Doomben on Saturday. Prince Medes, Regal Vista and Prinee Gauntlet, place-get-ters in the recent Strad broke Handicap, are In the field, but all drew badly. Rajab Sahib, the New Zealand three-year-old which disappointed in the Stradbroke, drew No. 4 at the barrier.
The New Zealand-breds in the field as well as Prince Medes and Rajah Sahib are Mona’s Joy and Stevette. Mona’s Joy drew 14 and Stevette 24. Stevette may be lucky to get a run as she Is among the reserves.
A limit field also accepted for the second leg of the Doomben double—the Doomben Cup, to be run over 11 furlongs next Saturday week. Tha New Zealand-bred* in the field are Rajah Sahib, one of the three horses who accepted for both legs, Ima Martian, Galleon King, the Brisbane Cup winner. Sunshine Sue. and the cup favourite, Gojven. Golven shares favouritism with the Sydney stayer, Sandy's Hope, which won the cup last year. Fields are:—
