SYDNEY

All markets continued to move downwards In yesterday’s trading on the Sydney Stock Exchange. Mining shares suffered the greatest Josses again, but falls in the oil and industrial sectors were much more widespread than formerly. B.H.P. announced that its steel production for May had fallen and the market reacted by pushing the shares down 15c to 1380 c, the first time In eighteen months that they have fallen below 1400 c. C.R.A. registered another significant loss, closing 50c down at 1680 c.

B.H.P. led the Melbourne stock market to a low point for the year yesterday with a decline of 30c to 1375 c.
