Air Attack By Biafrans
(N.Z.P. A.’Reuter-Copyright)
LAGOS, June 20.
A Biafran plane attacked Shell-BP oil installations near the Mid-West Nigerian town of Ughelli yesterday, and unconfirmed reports say that an empty oil tank was damaged. Informed sources say that a single aircraft fired four rockets in the daylight raid. Military authorities in the Mid-Western capital of Benin have confirmed only that the raid took place. It was the sixth attack on Federal territory since, four weeks ago, the Biafrans began using five small, rocketequipped aircraft built in Sweden and initially piloted by a team led by Count Gustav von Rosen, a Swede.
