Fund To Seek New Members
A membership campaign for the North Canterbury branch of the lave the Children Fund would be hold on June 30, the convener of the membership campaign committee (Mrs F. Peters) said last evening. Concern was felt that some people misunderstood the aim of the fund, she laid, “it is not to tax the public purse which has already contributed overseas aid through Red Cross and C.0.R.8.0. “The main aim of our campaign is to attract people willing to give time and thought to the cause of saving children.”
These people could help in various ways, Mrs Peters said.
