Fertilisers For Roses
Roses are not gross feeders but they do need applications of suitable fertilisers from time to time. The first dressing should be a couple of handfuls of bone-dust to the square yard scattered over the beds in autumn and highly worked into the soil. In August or after pruning apply a complete mixture comprising 4 parts of blood and bone, 2 parts superphosphate, 1 part sulphate of potash and 1 part sulphate of ammonia. Mix well and give a handful to each established plant.
