Canterbury , defeated South Canterbury, 14-2, in division HI badminton matches recently. The left-handed Canterbury puyer, D. B. ,Reld, was always tem fast fOrR. Murray in the top singles match. Th the top women’s singles ffigteh Mrs B. Fowler, of South Canterbury, a former Canterbury division I player, was much too strong for her Canterbury oppopent, Miss G. Hampton. Doubles.—Reid and Findlay beat Murray and Darling, 15-9, 18-12; Lang and Berry beat Ryan and Pharris; 15-2, 15-5. frOMEH Singles.—Miss G. Hampton lost to MISs 6. FoWler. 9-11, 2-11; Miss S. Johnston beat Mrs J. Smith, 11-7; 11-0; Mrs R. Atwell beat Mrs E. Reilly, 11-4, 11-8; Miss N. OlUver beat Mrs G. Henderson, 11-1, 11-4.
