The touring Australian women's basketbell teem had its fifth win in six games in New Zeeland when it beat Rotorua. 46-43. tn a thrilling match at Rotorua on Saturday. Rotorua led throughout the first two quarters, and excitement mounted In the third session as the visitors moved up to overtake the home side and lead. 36-33. Rotorua fought back to level the scores. Both sides then scored point for point, until the last few minutes when Australia pulled away. Scorers: Australia, E. Harris (Western Australia) 15, C. White (South Australia) 31. Rotorua: F. Wirringi 26, P. Waetford 17.
