Remember When, a winner at Ashburton on June 2 when having her first start for three years, repeated that effort when she shaded Bonny Lands by a head in the Oxford Handicap. Although the margin was a narrow one, she won quite comfortably. Propetre trotted a good race for third, ahead of Kllarno, with the others struggling home at Intervals. Harrow Win The other race tor trotters, the Ohoka Handicap, resulted in a narrow win for the Ra-nglora-owned and trained Lucent, which is trained by F. P. Watson for Mrs 8. M. Wat- ■ son. Lusettl, now In his fifth season of racing both as a
pacer and a trotter, was having his thirty-sixth start. AUsa Peterson held on tor second, ahead of a solid finisher In Western Valley. Coronet Peak was beaten off next. Pine Globe, a surprise favourite, justified that support in the Walkuku Handleap. His was a smart run as be tangled after about two furlongs. He responded well for M. Holmes in the run home, and beat Smokey Express and Belluent quite comfortably. Good Effort Cadmus, a relation of Lordship, brought a change of luck to his Templeton owner, Mr D. D. Moore, when be outstayed tbe favourite, Garrison House, in the First Sefton Handleap. A four-year-old son of Caducous and Bed Head, be is trained at West Melton by J. D. Lltten. Van's Choice was beaten off third. There was mueb merit in tbe win of Cadmus as Garrison House bad an advantage of at least a neek over him starting the last balf-furlong. Broadway, prominent all the way, raced away from bls rivals in the Second Sefton Handicap, winning from Advanced Fibre and Disturb. The win favourite, Jack Margon, tired to fifth. Frostowe, at odds of 30 to 1, surprised in the Third Sefton Handicap, shading Mostyn by a head, with Britomart a close third. The favourite. Swift Action, lost his chance at the start.
