AT LEAST 50 NEW MEMBERS WEEKLY
At Silhouette and American s Health Studios, records show j that at least 50 new members f enrol at the studios each e week. The ages of these new I members vary from 15 to 75 n years. x Every person who wants to ■. become a member has their y own individual problem. With i the women we find that the most common figure problem 0 is being overweight in the hip, waist and upper thigh areas. n However, there are vast nume bers of women who attend the e studios each week for other e figure problems such as figure reproportioning, bust development, figure contouring and [. also those who come to us s for the relief of bodily ailments, arthritis, rheumatism, ” lumbago, asthma, etc. 1 Because we are treating so many different cases, every woman has a thorough figure analysis before any programme is planned for her and when this is prepared, she is individually supervised by a trained instructress. The physique problems of the men vary equally as much as do the figure problems of : women. We find that the great 1 majority of the younger men . come to us to increase in muscular weight and size and ’■ also increase in strength and stature. In contrast is the “ older man who wishes to res duce his waist and hips and r improve his general health, a fitness and feeling of well--3 being. There are many male members who come to American Health Studios to ensure themselves against I heart attack and also those who have already suffered such an attack make use of the studios’ scientific facilities to actually strengthen their hearts and thus ensure no future attack. Men and women who partake in every conceivable field of sport attend the studio regularly to improve themselves in their chosen activity. Noted All Blacks and members of Olympic Games teams and many other leading sportsmen, use the facilities to reach the highest state of fitness possible. i With the studio being open 12 3 hours daily, businessmen and women, doctors, lawyers and M dentists, etc., all find that they can make regular attendance at the studio, because they do not have to attend any classes or adhere to an appointment time. The moment that any member arrives at the studio, their programme is taken out of the filing system and the member is then supervised indi- , vidually according to his own specific chart.
