, The associated press, reported it was his second Emmy. i Susan St James “The , Name of the Game”) won the I award for the best continued performances by an actress in a supporting role in a series. “Teacher, Teacher," a ' show produced by George Leffertsen, was named the ! outstanding dramatic pro-1 gramme. Anna Calder - Marshal; (“Male of the Species”) won; the award for the outstanding j single performance by an act-' ress in a supporting role, j J. P. Miller (‘The People Next Door”) was cited for outstanding writing achievement in drama and David Greene (“The People Next Door”) for outstanding directorial achievement in drama. Billy Schulman, a men! tally retarded boy who! played the lead in “Teacher.! Teacher,” which is about; mental retardation, won a; special award. He had been nominated for : an award as best actor in a supporting role, but that category later was eliminated ' from the balloting. Don Adams of’“Get Smart” ; won the award for the best i continued performance in a ; leading role in a comedy 1 series. It was his third award. The spy spoof was
also named the outstanding comedy series. Hope Lange of “The Ghost and Mrs Muir” won the award for the best’ continued performance by an actress in a leading role in a comedy series. Paul Scofield won the award for the best single performance by an actor in a leading role for his part in “Male of the Species” and Geraldine Page that for the best single performance by
’ an actress in a leading role for her part in “The Thanks--1 giving Visitor.” It was her I second Emmy. Lord Snowden received an i award for his moving docu- ' mentary on old age entitled, “Don’t Count the Candles.” : The award was presented for ■ his cinematography Lord 1 Snowdon’s first attempt in I this highly intricate field, . although he is famous as a ' photographer.
