APPEAL FAILS

(N.Z. Press Association) INVERCARGILLTho appeal of Mr and Mrs R. G. Sutherland, of Dunedin, the owners of Blue Amber, against the decision of the judicial committee of the Riverton Racing Club in allowing Chango to retain first place in the Riverton Cup—Blue Amber finished second—was dismissed by the Southern District Committee yesterday. After the running of the Riverton Cup an objection was lodged against Chango on the grounds of interference to Blue Amber and Watallan.

The Riverton judicial committee dismissed the appeal and decided to take no action against G. W. Wright, the rider of Chango. An official release said the appeal was dismissed. It ordered that the deposit of the appellants be forfeited and that $5O, to cover witnesses expenses and costs, be paid by the appellants.
