N.Z. Artist Wins Award

“Four Elements Dark,” a painting by the Auckland artist, Milan Mrkusich, has won a merit award in the Fifth International Young Artists’ Biennale in Tokyo. Works by Kate Coolahan, Suzanne Goldberg, Don Driver, Ralph Hotere, Para Matehitt, Buk Nin, Michael Smither, and Mrkusich were sent to the exhibition by the Association of New Zealand Art Societies at the invitation of the Japan Cultural Forum. The works have been exhibited in Tokyo, Shizuoka City and Yokohama.
