BOY KILLED BY SHOTGUN

(N.Z. Press Association)

ROTORUA, May 20.

A 12-year-old boy died instantly when a 12-gauge shotgun was accidentally discharged in a bach at Reporoa, 26 miles from Rotorua, last, night. He was Graeme Evan Stafford, son of Mr and Mrs C. H. Stafford, Goudie’s Road, Reporoa.

Detective Sergeant D. W. 1. Beck, of the Rotorua Ct 1.8., said today that the boy and his parents were visiting an adjoining farm. About 10.30 p.m. the boy and four other youngsters went to an outside bach. One of the boys took a single-barrel shotgun from a cupboard to show it to the others, and the weapon was accidentally discharged.
