The Totalisator Agency Board will run a special concession double on the Great Northern Hurdles and the Great Northern Steeplechase at the Auckland Racing Club's Queen’s Birthday week-end meeting. The chairman of the board (Mr B. A. Whyte) announced the decision yesterday. The Great Northern Hurdles will be run on Saturday, May 31. and th* Great Northern steeplechase on Monday, June 3. The Sold for th* aecond leg will be published simultaneously with the field for the first leg, and the board will sell tickets for both legs at the same time, a« has been the caee with all previous special doubles. Tickets on the winner of the first leg, coupled with a scratch. Ing In the second leg, may be exchanged up to two b*urs before the running of tbe second leg. Tickets which are not exchanged will be placed on the second leg substitute.
