No Start At Waimate
"The Press” Special Service DUNEDIN. Etassem suffered cuts and bruises when running third In the Haast Steeplechase, at Rlccarton, on Tuesday, and will miss his engagement at Walmate. The Wlngatul trainer, W. 3. Hewitt, said yesterday that the Messmate gelding would not race for a month. The Washdyke trainer, W. M. Turner, said that his form runners, Lady Glory and Gay Doctor, would not race again until the Dunedin winter meeting on May 31 and June 2. Lady Glory, a fast-finishing second to Time and Tide In the May Handicap at Blccarton, is one of the reserves In the Waimate Cup. Her stablemate. Gay Doctor, a winner at the Amberley meeting and a sound fifth tn the Westport Handicap at Riccarton on Tuesday, was engaged in the President’s Cup at Walmate.
