SYDNEY The downward movement in miners and oils intensified on the Sydney market yesterday and spread to industrials. Falls outnumbered rises in oils and miners three to one. Great Boulder and Mount Isa were among the few miners to rise. Vam and Surveys continued their losing trend, Vam closing a further 20c lower at 740 c, while Surveys fell 7c to 347 c. B.H.P. and C.S.R. traded uneasily. Both stocks barely maintained their overnight positions at 1615 c and 784 c.

Porter Motors, Ltd, will pay a steady interim dividend of 61 per cent for the six months to March 31. The dividend will be paid also on the increased paid-up capital of the company created by the company’s recent one-for-five bonus issue. It is payable on July 18; ex dividend July 11.
