Anniversary Races
There are 101 entries in the Olympic Harrier Club's twenty -first anniversary cross- „„„ . country race over a 2.6-mile circuit at the Motukarara race course on Saturday. The senior event, an Individual handicap event of two circuits of the course, will be the first held by the club at the race course, and in spite of the distance from Christchurch, it has met with a very encouraging response. Several years ago the Canterbury cross-country championships Were held there. ' In the absence of R. Robinson (University), J. D. Maedonald (Olympic) should continue his winning form. With him off the scratch mark will be the Otago University runner, A. Hassell, who recorded fastest time ahead of E. Gray
(Greymouth) in the first lap of the Port Hills relay last JcaihmeJ-P)’ 11 (Cashmere) who was disqualified in the Centre Relays after running off course. There are trophy orders in each race for the three fastest times and the first three home on handicap.
