RUGBY TOUR

Tests To Be On TV (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. Both Rugby test matches between Wales and New Zealand would be televised in full for replay on all television channels at 5.30 p.m. the following Sunday, the Minister of Broadcasting (Mr Adams-Schneider) told Parliament yesterday. Giving details of radio and Revision coverage of the ttrtir, the Minister said the matches against Otago and Wellington would also be earned in full for local showing the same night, at 10.30 p.m., and 15-minute filmed highlights would be shown on other channels on Friday, June 6, and Monday, June 9. . The first game of the tour, against Taranaki, would be covered by a 15-minute programme of highlights to be broadcast over all channels in the Sports Magazine on Friday, May 30.

Mr Adams-Schneider said there would be full broadcast commentaries on all five games with reviews on the matches at 6.39 p.m. on weekdays and 7.05 on Saturdays. The commercial network would also carry reviews of an games at 6.15 p.m., he said.

Asked by Sir Basil Arthur (Lab., Timaru) if the NZ.B.C. had considered full telecasts of all the provincial matches, the Minister replied that this had been considered but it was decided it was not possible having regard to other scheduled programmes.
