ANDREWS, Secretary. .7854 COUNTY OF ASHBURTON PUBLIC NOTICE OF PROPOSED APPLICATION FOR SANCTION OF LOAN Notice is hereby given that the Ashburton County Council proposes at a meeting to be held on June 6, 1969, to consider a motion to apply to the Local Authorities Loans Board for its sanction to the borrowing of the sum of $5900 for the purpose of purchasing a Fire Engine for the Rakala Urban Fire District. The proposed security for the payment of interest, repayment of principal and the payment of other charges of the said loan is a special rate of 0.00052 of a cent in the dollar ($) upon the 1 rateable value on the basis of the capital value of all rateable property in the Ashburton County. NOTE: It is not proposed to collect this rate, the annual repayments of the loan are to be met out of the annual revenue of the Rakaia Urban Fire Authority. Any person having any objection to the proposed application is called up to submit the same in writing to the Ashburton County Council not later than the day preceding the said meeting. PUBLIC NOTICE pursuant to section 72 of the Agricultural Pest Destruction Act, 1967. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Waimakariri Pest Destruction Board has by resolution, dated May 8, 1969, clasified all land in its district for the purpose of levying a rate on a graduated scale for the period commencing on April 1, 1969, and ending on March 31, 1970. A list setting forth such classification may be inspected without fee at the offices of the board, J. W. K. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Waimakarriri Pest Destruction Board intends at a meeting of the board to be held at Rangiora at 9.30 a.m. on Thursday, July 10, 1969 (or at such other place or date as the said board shall meet), to make and levy a rate on the land in its district for the period commencing on April 1, 1969, and ending on March 31, 1970, in the following proportions in respect of the following classes of land: 1.25 c PER ACRE in respect of land in Class “A” of its classification list. 2.50 c PER ACRE in respect of land in Class "B” of its classification list. ’ 3.75 c PER ACRE in respect of land in class “C” of its classification And Notice is hereby further given that the said rates will become payable at the office of the Board and in one sum on August 13, 1969, and that the rate book is open for inspection without fee by ratepayers between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m,, Monday to Friday. An additional charge of 10 per cent will be added to all rates unpaid at the expiration of six months from the date of demand and shall be payable and recoverable accordingly.
