NEW SHIP FOR NAVY

120 Feet Of Hull Laid (N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) LONDON, May 14. The latest ship for the Royal New Zealand Navy, H.M.N.Z.S. Canterbruy, is taking shape at the Glasgow yards of Yarrows Shipbuilders. The frigate is being built on a prefabricated basis. Construction started last January. The vessel is to be launched about the middle of next year. The builders have already laid about 120 feet of the hull. The New Zealand Navy has established a project officer in Glasgow to co-ordinate dealings with the shipbuilding firm.
